Yesterday, May 30, was Ashton's 4th birthday! I can't believe it has been four years. Ashton wanted a race car themed birthday, and a race track birthday cake. He just wanted his family to come to the party and was so excited to have people here, all for him.
At 3:30am of the 30th we had a wide awake Ashton come in bed with us. He snuggled under the covers and said, "Mommy, my eyes are wide open and I am awake. Can I get up now?" It was really cute. The rest of the day was fun for him, but he was so excited for his party he couldn't concentrate on anything.
I enjoyed making the birthday cake, and it turned out pretty good. Hailey came over and did the decorating for us. Thanks Hailey!! It looked great! The party was fun and we all had a great time. Ashton really wanted to open presents first so we did and then had cake and ice cream. All in all, it was a fun day and party. Thanks everyone for your help and for loving our boys!!

Gavin had his first taste of real food yesterday!! We thought that he might be ready for solids because just lately he has been very interested in what we were eating. I was eating a strawberry and he grabbed my hand and kept trying to put it in his mouth.
We fed him avocado all mashed up and yummy looking. Gavs was really interested in it, and seemed to like it. Well, after the inital shock I think he enjoyed it!! He is growing up too fast!
